Thought for the day: Relationships aren't built by sitting together but by serving together. Be in prayer for your cause. That was a great challenge. Are we trying to just have relationships or trying to build relationships. Think of the value of something that you invested in. Listen to the difference between the value of these two statements; I have a house, or I built my home. We take pride in what we build. The value comes from the work that you put into it. Don't just be a part of something, create something, be a change agent.
Serve your friends. Serve your neighbors. Serve complete strangers. Here is one, serve your enemies. It is a simple thought but a very powerful one.
Today, who are you going to serve? What relationship are you going to build?

In our leadership meeting last Sunday night we were commenting on how well the kids did at the displaced event and being a veteren youth sponsor I wasn't the least bit surprised. OUR KIDS CAN WORK!! And though there's been talk about group/click issues, when they're working in field-whether it's across country/world
or across town- there is no grouping. They all blend and work together. Of course not everyone can afford to go across country so Causes are perfect. First we're being eikons by loving others but as a extra bennifit our kids can grow and build the relationships with eachother that Christ also demands. "Love eachother; by this all people will know that you are my disciples." Jn 13:34 We've been suggesting that the kids sit with someone new on Wed nights and thats nice and we should do that, but more solid relationships will be built by serving together not just sitting together.
